"The internal conditions of authentic happiness.
In training the mind to brain plasticity"

We aspire to happiness, but turn our backs. Why this tragic misunderstanding? Mainly because we seek happiness outside ourselves. According to Buddhism, happiness is essentially an internal state, the result of training the mind, which is influenced by external conditions but does not. But how to approach this way of being Ideally, if unfamiliar to the Western conception of things?
Looking point by point the external and internal factors that enhance or diminish our deep appreciation. Disassembly of how thoughts emerge, multiply and enslave us. By looking within ourselves but we looked a little less ourselves. Having an approach that is more reflective and more altruistic world. What is the relationship between this training the mind, which translates into a better emotional balance, and how our brain? To what extent can we train the brain to work constructively to replace greed by contentment, calm agitation, hatred with compassion?
Following several meetings between top scientists and the Dalai Lama, under the auspices of the Institute for Mind and Life ", several research programs in neuroscience were launched to study people who have devoted themselves for twenty years to the systematic development of compassion, altruism and inner peace.
In these programs he is considering meditation as mind training, as a practical response the eternal puzzle is the management of destructive emotions.
Matthieu Ricard will present the latest research showing the link between emotional control and the neuro-plasticity of the brain and we will offer a fascinating reflection on the way to true happiness and the means to achieve a sustainable manner.
